Mind Map Pro’s CEO, Rich Hill, is heading back to WordCamp Boston for its 10th anniversary!

Held at Boston University on 20-21 July 2019, WordCamp Boston is an annual conference that celebrates WordPress with talks, panel discussions, workshops, sponsor booths and open areas that encourage new connections between attendees.

This will be the fourth time Rich attends WordCamp Boston and his fifth time in the city. Boston was the first US city he ever visited, two decades ago!

Top picks for Boston!

For the tenth anniversary, WordCamp Boston organisers have arranged a tour for attendees to experience Boston through stories and sightseeing.

It’s a city with a whole lot of history, and to get prepared for the visit, we’ve gathered together the best facts about Boston.

  1. Founded in 1630, Boston is one of the oldest cities in the US.
  2. It’s a city of firsts, home to America’s first subway, public beach and chocolate factory. The first thanksgiving dinner took place in Boston and the oldest public park in the US is Boston Common.
  3. The Boston University Bridge is the only place in the world where a boat can sail underneath a train, which is passing underneath a vehicle, which is driving underneath an airplane.
  4. The nickname Beantown came from the city’s earliest settlers’ love for baked beans in molasses.
  5. There is an annual re-enactment of the Boston Tea Party on December 16.
