WordCamp Brighton (WCBTN) is bringing us to the seaside this August, for two conference days and some evening get-togethers with developers, designers, accessibility experts, marketing professionals and plenty of other interesting folks from the digital and WordPress communities.

Hosted at the Clarendon Centre from 17-19 August, WCBTN returns for its third annual event. With it, returns a focus on sustainability, accessibility and inclusivity, which have made this WordCamp so special in previous years.

With a tasty vegan lunch, suggestions of activities to do when you’re in Brighton before or after the conference and sponsored diversity tickets meaning free access for individuals from under represented groups, WCBTN looks set to be one of the most welcoming events that Mind Map Pro has supported.

As an i-360 sponsor of WordCamp Brighton, Mind Map Pro will have an interactive stand where our team will be delivering live demos and getting to know the other attendees. On top of this, some members of our team will be speaking and volunteering during the event.

Tess Coughlan-Allen, our marketing manager (and as an organiser of WCEU, no stranger to WordCamps), will be leading a workshop titled ‘Finding the Words to Press’ on Friday 17 August at 09:45am, covering:

  • Web content: The right questions to ask and the best ways to ask them to get the content you need from an unwilling client
  • Blog posts: How to come up with ideas for blog posts to make sure your client’s website gets seen
  • Tools: Free tools to use and how to use them effectively
  • Reviewing web content: Tips for how to test, review and improve copy

Rich Hill, CEO of Mind Map Pro and our global WordCamp veteran, will also be taking to the stage as an MC, introducing some incredible speakers during the morning sessions on Saturday.

To finish the conference, we’ll be heading to the Brighton seafront on Saturday evening for the afterparty at Patterns, where we’re hoping to enjoy the outdoor terrace in the August sunshine.

Are you heading to WordCamp Brighton? Let us know so we can arrange to meet up. We’re looking forward to seeing familiar faces and meeting new ones.
